Discovering what you don’t want from life is important

There will be times when you’re eager to discover what you want but, you will also have times when you’re overcome by moments that make you realise the things that you clearly don’t want in your life.

These could be people, words, actions, behaviours, careers, or anything else you can think of that may affect you in the present and the future. It might be something that before you didn’t mind so much but, today you feel strongly about it not being a part of your life anymore.

Discovering what you don’t want is just as important as finding out what you do. If someone asks us what we want our future to look like, we usually have an immediate answer like “I want to be earning this much” or “I want to live in this kind of house”.

However, when put in the situation of contemplating things we don’t want for the future we become a bit more vulnerable and we dig deeper in our souls to answer that type of question.

We may not want to be alone, we may not want a job that doesn’t fulfill us, and we may not want to regret not taking a certain trip or opportunity. There are a million things we might not want for our future selves that could better shape our journey if just considered but, we usually focus so much on what we want that this part is forgotten.

Don’t always think about what you want your future to look like, think about what you don’t want it to look like as well. Chances are you’ll find more answers and guidance for your journey.

  1. I do agree.. and I often suggest to my clients of my healing profession to verbalise β€œI release everything that doesn’t serve me for my highest good. I release (x3)” in case there are subconscious blocks . Have a great day πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»

Yes, it’s so important to dig deep and verbalise the things that don’t serve us anymore. There are so many habits I acquired throughout time that I’ve realised no longer serve me and a lot of that doesn’t come out on a regular basis. You have to hear these questions to be able to tap into all of that emotion. Thank you for your comment 😊. What you do sounds really interesting, I’d be curious to know more.
